Alex Fajardo voted in as Board Member of Las America ASPIRA Academy
On February 27, 2014, our bilingual law clerk Alex Fajardo was voted in as a member of the La America ASPIRA Academy School Board. The LAAA is a K-7 (soon to be K-8) charter school that is fully dual-immersion English/Spanish in Newark, Delaware. It is the only school of its kind in Delaware. The Board is responsible for the education of 540 currently enrolled students. There is a waiting list of over 400 students. The school will likely expand through high school in the near future.
