Shaku Bhaya, Cynthia Pruitt and Lindsey Anderson judge in Delaware High School Mock Trial Competition
On February 24, 2012, partners Shaku Bhaya, Cynthia Pruitt and associate Lindsey Anderson participated as judges in the 2012 Delaware High School Mock Trial Competition. Teams from more than 25 Delaware public and private schools compete in the annual event. During the Mock Trial, students play the roles of the witnesses and attorneys in a criminal case. The goal of the Competition is to enhance students’ citizenship skills. Students learn about our trial system and develop critical thinking and public speaking skills. The Mock Trial also provides teachers with a tool for authentic assessment. The winner of the state competition will be sent to represent Delaware in the National Competition held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
